Official age-progression image and verified missing-child information for Kimberly Abigail Escobar Orellana.
This official age-progression image represents Kimberly at age 19. She would be 26 today.

Please take a moment to look carefully at Kimberly’s official images.

One shows her as the child she was when she disappeared. The other is an official age-progression image showing Kimberly at age 19.

Neither image should be treated as an exact representation of how Kimberly may look today at 26. Her childhood photograph is approximately 14 years old, and even the age progression represents her several years younger than she is today.

But both images may still help someone recognize something familiar.

Remember her face. Remember her name.

Someone may recognize her. Someone may remember something from years ago. Someone may know where she is today.

DPS also lists pierced ears, an approximately one-inch scar inside her left arm and a small elongated burn scar on her back.

Those physical details describe Kimberly as a 12-year-old in 2012. They should not be assumed to describe her exactly as she may appear today.

Important date difference

The two authoritative records differ by one day.

Texas DPS records Kimberly’s last-seen date as August 8, 2012. NCMEC lists her as missing since August 9, 2012.

The Texas Public Record is preserving that discrepancy rather than choosing one date and presenting it as settled.

What authorities reported

Texas DPS says Kimberly was last seen in the company of two females in the brush along Highway 281.

DPS reported that she was wearing light-blue “Lacost” brand jeans without back pockets and dark-blue Puma shoes with a red stripe.

NCMEC states that Kimberly was last seen walking along Highway 281 between Falfurrias and McAllen.

Texas DPS classifies Kimberly’s case as involuntary.

Those are the circumstances currently published by the authoritative agencies. We will not add speculation about what happened afterward, where Kimberly may be today or who may have been involved.

The age-progressed image

Kimberly’s case includes an important public-awareness tool.

Both Texas DPS and NCMEC currently display an official age-progression image of Kimberly at age 19.

It is not a recent photograph. It should not be interpreted as an exact representation of Kimberly today.

Kimberly would now be 26.

That makes it especially important to look beyond the age of both official images. Years have passed since even the age-progressed image represents her appearance.

Kimberly was 12 when she disappeared.

A child photographed in 2012 would be an adult today. Her appearance may have changed dramatically, but that does not make her case less important.

Please share Kimberly’s official childhood photograph, her official age progression and her verified information.

Someone may recognize the child she was. Someone may recognize something familiar in the woman she could be today.

More than 14 years have passed. That is not a reason to stop looking.

Keep Kimberly visible. Help bring her home.
