NOLANVILLE, Texas — A 15-year-old girl last seen in a Central Texas neighborhood is the subject of an AMBER Alert, and authorities are asking the public to help locate her.
Willow Chapman was reported missing Thursday, October 15, 2026. According to information released through the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, she was last seen around noon in the 1800 block of Caponier Street in Nolanville.
Three days later, on October 18, the Texas Fusion Center received a request from the Copperas Cove Police Department to activate a Local Area AMBER Alert.
The request reflected a serious concern about Willow’s welfare.
According to the official alert, Copperas Cove police believe her disappearance poses a credible threat to her health and safety.
Authorities have asked the public to report information that could help locate her.
A description that could help someone recognize Willow
Willow is described in the official missing-child notice as a Black female, 5 feet tall and weighing approximately 98 pounds.
She was last seen wearing a black hoodie and gray sweatpants and carrying a black backpack featuring The Nightmare Before Christmas.
The backpack is a distinctive detail that someone may remember from October 15. However, clothing and personal belongings can change, and no single item should be treated as necessary to recognize her.
Members of the public are encouraged to examine Willow’s official photograph, available through the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, rather than relying solely on the written description.
Why the alert matters
The Texas Fusion Center’s October 18 notice identifies the Copperas Cove Police Department as the agency requesting the Local Area AMBER Alert.
Although that department is investigating, the official missing-from location is Nolanville, Texas.
The distinction is important for anyone attempting to recall where they may have seen Willow or observed something potentially relevant.
The public information reviewed for this report does not establish what happened to Willow after she was last seen. It does not identify a suspect or provide a verified account of the circumstances of her disappearance.
Speculation cannot substitute for information investigators can evaluate.
The immediate public-service priority is to help authorities locate Willow safely.
How to help
Anyone who sees Willow or has information about her whereabouts should contact law enforcement immediately.
The public can also help by sharing Willow’s official missing-child notice with accurate identifying information and the correct law-enforcement contact number.
A single useful observation may help investigators determine where to look next. Information should be reported directly to authorities, not circulated as an unverified claim on social media.
For Willow and those waiting for answers, the priority is simple: finding her and bringing her home safely.
